Mastering English Verb Tenses

Present and Past Tense of the Verb To Be

The verb to be is also used for the following:

• I'm hot, I am cold, it was very cold. (I am hot/cold = I feel hot, I feel cold)
• Note: I have a cold (I have a cold)
• I am seventeen years old.
• I'm in a hurry.
• You are right!
• You are late. Why are you late?

Present Continuous = Present Progressive

1. Seleccionar el apellido, el oficio y la localidad de los departamentos de aquellos empleados cuyo oficio sea “ANALISTA”

Adjetivos Terminados en -ed y -ing

Los adjetivos terminados en -ed y -ing son fundamentales para describir sentimientos y causas. A continuación, se presenta una lista de ejemplos comunes:

• Amaze: -ed (sorprendido), -ing (sorprendente)
• Annoy: -ed (molesto), -ing (molesto, fastidioso)
• Bore: -ed (aburrido), -ing (aburrido)
