Phoneme is the single sound type which came to be represented by a single written symbol.
Phonemic distinctions in a language can be tested via pairs and sets of words.
A syllable must contain a vowel (or vowel-like) sound. The most common type

typically represented as CV. Technically, the basic elements of the syllable are

Verbos con Infinitivo o Gerundio sin Cambio de Significado

  • Begin, start, continue + to-inf/ -ing (nunca dos –ing seguidos)
  • Advise, allow, permit, recommend, encourage + -ing (objeto/pasiva)
  • It needs/ it requires/ it wants + -ing (hace falta)

Verbos con Infinitivo o Gerundio con Cambio de Significado

  • Forget + to inf (olvidar hacer algo); forget + -ing (olvidar una acción pasada)

Past Simple: La acción ocurre en el pasado y ya está terminada (2ª columna del listado de verbos irregulares o añadiendo -ed a verbos regulares).

Past Continuous: La acción se estaba desarrollando en el pasado y se interrumpe por otra acción más corta (Past Simple) (was/were + verbo-ing).

Past Perfect: Es una acción pasada que ocurrió antes que otra acción pasada (had + 3ª columna o -ed).

Verbos + Gerundio

Los siguientes verbos van seguidos de un verbo en gerundio (-ing):
