A. Relative Clauses (Unidad 3)

Who: Personas. (The boy who is talking...)

Which: Cosas/animales. (The car which I bought...)

That: Personas y cosas (solo en oraciones sin comas).

Whose: Posesión (cuyo/a). Sustituye a his, her, their. (The girl whose father is a chef.)

Where: Lugares. (The city where I live.)

When: Tiempo. (The day when we met.)

Tipos:

Defining (Especificativas): Sin comas. Información esencial. Se puede usar that. Se puede omitir el pronombre si después viene un sujeto (I, you, Pete...).

Non-defining (Explicativas): Con comas (,). Información extra. Prohibido usar that. Prohibido omitir el pronombre.

El bilingüisme és el cas més simple de plurilingüisme, amb dues llengües en contacte. Es distingeix entre:

Bilingüisme Individual

• Passiu: S'entén la segona llengua però no es parla.
• Actiu: S'entén i es parla les dues llengües.
• Simètric: Les dues llengües es coneixen igual.
• Asimètric: Una llengua domina més que l'altra.
• Instrumental: S'usa per motius laborals o econòmics.
