Thanksgiving in the United States

History and Tradition

Americans celebrate Thanksgiving every year on the fourth Thursday in November. It is a very important holiday for families, who usually come together for a long weekend—even if some of them have to travel long distances to get home. According to American tradition, the first Thanksgiving took place in 1621, soon after the first European settlers arrived in North America.

The Thanksgiving Meal

The most common meal at Thanksgiving in the USA is roast turkey and vegetables. According to tradition, the person who gets the "wishbone" must break it and make a wish. Of course, you don't need to have turkey at Thanksgiving. Other popular dishes include:

Christian is a really good friend of mine. We share a lot of things and hobbies, for example the football. We have played in the same team for years. He is a good player.

Christian is brown and muscular. He has got spiky hair with amazing green eyes. He is attractive and gorgeous and he had a lot of girlfriends in the past. At present, he hasn't got any girlfriend. He studies medicine, but also works in a team of football two days a week. At weekends he likes meeting friends (he is a very acquaintance person in the village). I usually go with him.

He can be a bit confident, and I like it because he is such a great company. He is generous and helpful, and is the best friend for me because he is kind-hearted and he helps me a lot of.

Aramis goes to a prison in Paris, where Philippe is. He is the twin brother of Louis XIV. Aramis wants to bring out Philippe and changes for the king. Aramais visits Fouquet, because he is denounced by Colbert to the king.Fouquet says he is innocent, but the king suspects of him. Then Aramis has a plan: enclose the king in his house, during a party. Aramis wants Philippe to take the place of the king. Fouquet write a letter to the owner of the jail, where Pihilippe is, to set him free. At the party, the king reminds the accusation of Colbert and orders arrest Fouquet. But somebody convince him to keep Fouquet under vigilance. At night, Aramis and Porthos take the king to prison, supplanting Philippe, and they say the governor that there was...
