What Is Paper?
True paper is characterized as thin sheets made from fiber that has been macerated until each individual filament is a separate unit. Medieval paper was made of diluted cotton, linen fiber. (Hunter 1943, 117) The fibers are then intermixed with water and by the use of a sieve-like screen, the fibers are lifted from the water leaving a sheet of matted fiber on the screen. Verbos Modales en Inglés: Uso y Ejemplos

Verbos Modales Simples

Los verbos modales son verbos auxiliares que expresan modalidad, es decir, la actitud del hablante hacia la acción del verbo. Indican posibilidad, obligación, permiso, habilidad, etc.

• CAN - CAN'T (puedo - no puedo): Se utiliza solo en presente simple.
  • Ejemplo: I can speak English - Puedo hablar inglés.
• COULD - COULDN'T (podía - no podía): Usado para el pasado.
  • Ejemplo: I could run very fast when I was a child - Yo podía correr muy rápido cuando era niño.
• MAY / MAY NOT - MIGHT / MIGHT NOT (puede): May se usa para mayor probabilidad y might para menor probabilidad.
• MUST (debes) - MUSTN'T (no debes): Expresa obligación.
• HAVE TO / NEED TO (tienes que... / necesitas que...): Indica

1. Oraciones de Relativo

• Who/That: para referirse a una persona.
• Whom: para referirse a personas (más formal).
• Which/That: para referirse a cosas.
• When: para referirse al tiempo.
• Where: para referirse a espacios y lugares.
• Whose: para hablar de pertenencia.

2. Verbos Modales

• Casi todos van seguidos de un infinitivo sin to (excepto ought to).
• La tercera persona no lleva -s.
• No se usa don't/doesn't en oraciones negativas e interrogativas.
• Se omite el pronombre relativo cuando se trata del objeto directo de la oración. Solo se omiten that, which, when y who.
• Defining: Proporcionan información esencial, sin ellos la frase no tiene sentido.
• Non-defining: Proporcionan información adicional, no se pueden omitir y van entre comas. No se usa that.

Zero Conditional

Se usa para expresar situaciones generales o hechos científicos.

Estructura: If + present simple, present simple.

Se utiliza para expresar situaciones posibles en el futuro.

Estructura: If + present simple, will + base form of verb.

Ejemplo: "If it rains tomorrow, we will stay indoors."
