Human beings have always liked to see exotic animals because we don't have the chance of having them with us at home; therefore, we go to zoos to see them. However, we can't forget the fact that human zoos existed in the 19th century because the white man thought that he was superior to the black one. Some black people were brought from the colonies to Europe to be shown at zoos as if they were animals. But let's focus on animals instead of people:

Pros and Cons of Keeping Animals in Captivity

• On the one hand, there are some arguments in favor. For example, zoos are a great idea to educate and entertain people at the same time. You can see different animals without using a photo or a book, and thanks to zoos, we are able to observe wildlife that comes from other countries. Moreover, it is a good way to protect endangered species.
• On the other hand, there are arguments against keeping animals in zoos since they aren't their natural habitats. Animals are often in cages, do not have enough space to move, and are forced to perform activities that aren't natural to them, so their life expectancy could be shortened.

Conclusion: Wild animals should be in the jungle, although we need to find alternative ways to protect them.

My First Trip to Salou with My Best Friend

Three years ago, my best friend Helen and I went to Salou to spend some time on the beach. I'd been to the city before, but never with my best friend.

The first day was relaxing because we were tired from the trip; we settled down in our room and unpacked our bags. Afterward, we went to the hotel restaurant for dinner, and when we finished, we took a stroll on the beach.

The following morning was when the adventure really started. To begin with, we went down to the beach, and after swimming in the sea, we returned to the hotel. When we opened the door of our bedroom, we bumped into a group of handsome German boys. We got to know them over the holidays and we became good friends.

By the end of the week, we'd done a lot of activities with them such as playing volleyball and football. I'd definitely recommend going to the beach with your best friend. I can't wait for next summer to do it again!

Nowadays, there are many surveillance cameras in the streets of a lot of cities, which indicates a high level of security.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Urban Surveillance

• Pros: It could be beneficial because the number of crimes decreases due to the fact that thieves can be identified and caught by the police. Another reason is that people feel safer when they are walking along the street alone.
• Cons: Cities have to spend a lot of money on cameras and installations. Another problem is that people lose their privacy and feel watched all the time.

Conclusion: I believe that the installation of surveillance cameras in big cities is a good idea because the decline in crime is essential for a safer community.
