Conectores en Inglés

Los conectores son fundamentales para dar cohesión y fluidez al texto. Aquí se clasifican según su función:

• De resultado: so, thus, therefore, consequently, as a result, as a consequence + oración (como resultado o consecuencia).
• De causa: because, since, as + oración (ya que); because of, due to + sustantivo (debido a).
• Para contrastar información: though, even though, although (aunque), nevertheless, however (sin embargo), yet (aún), but (pero), while (mientras), in spite of, despite + gerundio (a pesar de).
• De secuencia: to begin with (para empezar), at the moment (en ese momento).
• Expresiones temporales: when (cuando), while (mientras), after (después), until (hasta), during (durante), suddenly (de repente), as soon as (tan pronto como), last night (anoche), one day (un día), a day before (el día antes), that evening (esa tarde).

Verbos Modales (Modal Verbs)

• Obligación: Must / have to
• Ausencia de obligación: Needn't / don't / doesn't have to
• Prohibición: Mustn't
• Habilidad: Can / can't
• Consejo: Should, could / ought to
• Probabilidad: May, might, can, could
• Permiso: Can, could, may

Uso de So y Such

Significan "tan" o "tan... que".

• So + Adjetivo
• Such + Adjetivo + Nombre

Lugo is a wonderful town in the northwest of Spain. It is one of the most beautiful towns that can be visited in our country. Although there are not many hotels, many people go there just to stay all day long visiting the town and walking along the streets, just feeling the atmosphere which surrounds this wonderful place. Another good reason to visit this town is the food, which is great and cheap. It hasn't got a big population, but during the day the streets are full of life. It is a nice site to visit, even to stay some days if you are able to find a place to pass the night, because of its historical values as well as for its people, food, and atmosphere.
