Biografia d'Emily Brontë

L'autora del llibre que hem llegit és Emily Brontë. El va escriure a l'edat de 28 anys. Emily va ser una novel·lista anglesa, nascuda a Yorkshire, al poble de Thornton, el 30 de juliol de 1818.

It also refers to the story-telling process. As an adjective, it describes the form or style of the story being told.

3. Lyric: Expresses personal emotions or feelings, typically spoken in the first person.

Àngel Guimerà

Àngel Guimerà (1845-1924) va néixer a Tenerife, perquè el seu pare (català) s'hi havia instal·lat per feina. Als 9 anys, es trasllada a Catalunya, a un país del qual no coneix la llengua. Alguns dels seus poemes tenen intenció patriòtica. En els primers estudis catalans, Guimerà amaga en la seva intimitat els conflictes del procés d'adaptació. Accepta i s'estima el país i ho expressa en les seves obres poètiques i teatrals. Així s'explica la preferència pels personatges marginats, per aquells que, com ell, viuen el problema del mestissatge. Es tracta d'una poesia narrativa, gens abstracta, presidida pel domini de la mètrica.
