¿Cuándo Usar "Going To"?

La estructura going to + infinitivo se utiliza para:

• Expresar la intención de realizar en el futuro alguna acción que ya está decidida.
  Ejemplos:
  What are you going to do at the weekend?
  ¿Qué harás durante el fin de semana?
  I'm going to visit a friend near Bogota.
  Visitaré (Tengo intenciones de visitar) a un amigo cerca de Bogotá.
