Aramis goes to a prison in Paris, where Philippe is. He is the twin brother of Louis XIV. Aramis wants to bring out Philippe and changes for the king. Aramais visits Fouquet, because he is denounced by Colbert to the king.Fouquet says he is innocent, but the king suspects of him. Then Aramis has a plan: enclose the king in his house, during a party. Aramis wants Philippe to take the place of the king. Fouquet write a letter to the owner of the jail, where Pihilippe is, to set him free. At the party, the king reminds the accusation of Colbert and orders arrest Fouquet. But somebody convince him to keep Fouquet under vigilance. At night, Aramis and Porthos take the king to prison, supplanting Philippe, and they say the governor that there was a mistake. At home, Fouquet find out the exchange and he wants to rescue the king. Philippe is sent to prison, where his face was covered with an iron mask forever. The king sends Fouquet to jail. Aramis tells Porthos what he did, and he promises to be faithful forever. Aramis hides with Porthos in a cave, where there are explosives. When the king's soldiers look for him, the soldiers die for the explosion, as Porthos, but Aramis manages to escape to Spain.
