Tiempos Verbales en Inglés

Presente Simple

Estructura: 3ª persona del singular (-s/-es). Negativa: don't / doesn't. Interrogativa: Do / Does.

Marcadores temporales: Always, usually, often, sometimes, rarely, never, every day/week, once a month, twice a week, on + día de la semana.

Presente Continuo

Estructura: am / are / is + verbo en -ing.

Marcadores temporales: Now, right now, at the moment, today, these days, this month/year, at present, tonight, tomorrow, this afternoon, next Sunday/week/month.

Pasado Simple

Estructura: Verbo con -ed o 2ª columna de irregulares. Negativa: didn't. Interrogativa: Did.

Marcadores temporales: Yesterday, last night/week/year, at + hora, on + día de la semana, in + año, ago (hace).

Pasado Continuo

Estructura: Was / were + verbo en -ing. Negativa: wasn't / weren't. Interrogativa: Was / were.

Marcadores temporales: At + hora, yesterday, last night, last month, this morning.

Contraste:

  • When: Acción breve (pasado simple) interrumpida por una más larga (pasado continuo).
  • While / As: Acción más larga (pasado continuo) interrumpida por otra (pasado simple).

Presente Perfecto

Estructura: Have / has + 3ª columna o -ed. Negativa: haven't / hasn't. Interrogativa: Have / has.

Uso: Indica acciones pasadas sin especificar cuándo ocurrieron.

Palabras clave:

  • Ever: ¿Alguna vez? (en preguntas) / Nunca (en contextos negativos).
  • Yet: Ya (en preguntas) / Aún, todavía (en negativas).
  • Never: Nunca (en frases afirmativas con sentido negativo).

Futuro Simple

Uso: Predicciones, horarios establecidos, decisiones tomadas en el momento de hablar.

Marcadores: This evening, later, next month, soon, at + hora, in an hour, tomorrow, in a few weeks, on + día y mes, in the future.

Futuro con "Be Going To"

Estructura: Am / are / is + going to + infinitivo. Negativa: am not / aren't / isn't + going to + inf. Interrogativa: Am / Are / Is + sujeto + going to + inf.

Uso: Expresar intenciones, planes, decisiones futuras e indicar que algo está a punto de ocurrir porque hay evidencias claras.

Futuro Perfecto

Estructura: Will have + 3ª columna o -ed. Negativa: won't have + -ed. Interrogativa: Will + sujeto + have + -ed.

Uso: Acción que habrá terminado en un momento concreto del futuro.

Marcadores: By this time next week, by ten o'clock, by the end of, by then, by + mes, in two months.

Futuro Continuo

Estructura: Will + be + verbo en -ing. Negativa: won't be + -ing. Interrogativa: Will + sujeto + be + -ing.

Uso: Acción que estará ocurriendo en un momento determinado del futuro.

Marcadores: At this time tomorrow, at this time next..., on Thursday, in the next decades.
