Números cardinales y ordinales

Cardinales (números básicos)

• 1: one
• 2: two
• 3: three
• 10: ten
• 20: twenty
• 30: thirty
• 100: one hundred

Ordinales (orden y secuencia)

• 1st: first
• 2nd: second
• 3rd: third
• 4th: fourth
• 5th: fifth
• 10th: tenth
• 20th: twentieth

Truco: Casi todos los números ordinales llevan la terminación -th, excepto 1st, 2nd, 3rd y 5th.

Pronombres en afirmativo y negativo

Afirmativo

Ejemplo:

• He is happy → Él está feliz
• He isn’t happy → Él no está feliz

Uso de los pronombres personales

• I → yo
• You → tú
• He → él
• She → ella
• It → objeto/animal
• We → nosotros
• They → ellos

Ejemplos de referencia:

• Edwin = he
• Mi mochila = it
• Edwin y yo = we

There is / There are

• There is → hay (para una sola cosa)
• There are → hay (para dos o más cosas)

Ejemplos:

• There is a book. → Hay un libro.
• There are three chairs. → Hay tres sillas.

Forma negativa:

• There isn’t a pen.
• There aren’t books.

This / That / These / Those

• This = este (cerca, singular)
• That = ese (lejos, singular)
• These = estos (cerca, plural)
• Those = esos (lejos, plural)

Ejemplos:

• This book → este libro
• That chair → esa silla
• These pencils → estos lápices
• Those desks → esos pupitres
