Modal Verbs (Verbos Modales)

Estructura básica: sujeto + modal + verbo (En oraciones interrogativas, el modal va antes del sujeto).

  • #will: Expresa futuro (+ will, - won't)
  • #would: Expresa hipótesis o cortesía (+ would, - wouldn't)
  • #should: Debería hacer algo (consejo) (+ should, - shouldn't)
  • #must: Debe hacer (obligación u orden) (+ must, - mustn't)
  • #can: Poder / capacidad (-puedo, -pueden) (+ can, - can't)
  • #could: Podría / posibilidad en pasado o presente (+ could, - couldn't)
  • #may: Permiso / posibilidad formal (ej. May I go to the bathroom?) (+ may, - mayn't)
  • #might: Duda sobre una acción / quizá (menor seguridad) (+ might, - mightn't)
