Malalties comunes

Refredat:

• Tinc refredat, esternudo, tusso i tinc mocs. I have a cold, I sneeze, cough, and have a runny nose.
• Tinc mal de gola. I have a sore throat.
• Tinc febre. I have a fever.
• Tinc tos. I have a cough.
• Tinc una tos forta. I have a bad cough.
• No paro de tossir. I can't stop coughing.

Dolors

Mal de cap/estómac/esquena/orella:

• Tinc mal de cap/estómac/esquena/orella. I have a headache/stomachache/backache/earache.
• Em fa mal l'estómac. My stomach hurts.
• Tinc dolor al pit/Em fa mal el pit. I have a pain in my chest/My chest hurts.
• Em fa mal el turmell esquerre. My left ankle hurts.
• Em fan mal els genolls. My knees hurt.

Lesions

Erupcions, morats, i bonys:

• Tinc una erupció al pit. I have a rash on my chest.
• Vaig caure a l'escola i ara tinc un morat a la cama. I fell over at school and now I have a bruise on my leg.
• Tinc un bony al pit i fa mal. I have a lump in my breast and it hurts.

Diarrea, nàusees, i vòmits:

• Tinc diarrea. I have diarrhea.
• Tinc nàusees (ganes de vomitar). I feel nauseous (I feel sick). Vomitar: to throw up
• Crec que vomitaré. I think I am going to vomit/throw up.

Marejos, desmais, i insomni:

• Em sento marejat. I've been feeling dizzy.
• Sovint em desmaio quan dono sang. I faint when I give blood.
• Tinc insomni/No puc dormir. I have insomnia/I can't sleep.

Sagnat, torçades, i fractures:

• El meu nas està sagnant. My nose is bleeding.
• M'he torçat el turmell i ara està inflat i fa molt mal. Crec que me l'he torçat. I twisted my ankle and now it is swollen and very painful. I think I have sprained it.
• La meva mare ha caigut per les escales i crec que s'ha trencat el maluc. My mother fell down the stairs and I think she has broken her hip.
• M'he tallat al dit amb un ganivet. I cut my finger with a knife.
• M'he cremat la mà dreta amb aigua bullent. I burned my right hand with boiling water.
• Ahir vaig estar caminant tot el dia i avui tinc una ampolla al peu esquerre. Yesterday I was walking all day and today I have a blister on my left foot.
• No puc moure els dits dels peus. I can't move my toes.
• Crec que m'he trencat el canell. I think I have broken my wrist.
• M'he tallat al llavi. I have cut my lip.
• Aquest matí estava sol a casa, he caigut i m'he donat un cop al cap. This morning I was alone at home, I fell and hit my head.
• Vaig caure al terra i em vaig lesionar el genoll. I fell on the floor and injured my knee.
• Vaig caure de dalt a baix i em vaig trencar la cama. I fell down the stairs and broke my leg.

Estat general

• No em sento bé. I'm not feeling well/I don't feel well.
• Em sento malalt. I feel ill/I feel sick.
