Verbs Modals en Anglès

SHALL, SHOULD: Haver de

MUST, OUGHT TO: Haver de

WILL, WOULD: Poder

CAN, COULD: Poder

MAY, MIGHT: Poder

NEED: Necessitar

DARE: Gossar

No tenen -s a la tercera persona del singular.
Van seguits d'un infinitiu sense "to". (Excepció: need pot anar seguit de to + infinitiu quan funciona com a verb regular)
No necessiten auxiliar per a les formes negatives i interrogatives.
No tenen totes les formes verbals.
Són verbs defectius: Només tenen temps present. De vegades usem els verbs HAVE TO i BE ABLE TO per a altres temps.
