El Verbo "To Be" en Pasado Simple (Was/Were)
El verbo To Be (ser o estar) en pasado simple se conjuga de dos formas: Was (para I, He, She, It) y Were (para We, You, They).

El Pasado Simple (Simple Past)
El Pasado Simple se utiliza para acciones terminadas en el pasado. Se forma con el verbo en pasado (para verbos regulares se añade -ed, para irregulares se usa la segunda columna).
Estructura General del Pasado Simple
La estructura es la misma en todas las personas (I, You, He, She, It, We, They).
Ejemplo de Conjugación (Verbo Regular: To Play)
- Afirmativo: I played
- Negativo: I did not play (I didn't play)
- Pregunta: Did I play?
Uso del Auxiliar "Did"
Mientras que en presente usamos do/does, en pasado usamos el auxiliar did.
- En preguntas: Did + Sujeto + Verbo en Infinitivo (forma base).
Respuestas Cortas con "Did"
- Afirmativas: Yes, I/we/you/they/he/she/it did.
- Negativas: No, I/we/you/they/he/she/it didn't.
El Pasado Continuo (Past Continuous)
El Pasado Continuo se utiliza para describir acciones que estaban en progreso en un momento específico del pasado.
Fórmulas de Conjugación
- Afirmativo:
- I/He/She/It + was + Verbo + -ing
- We/You/They + were + Verbo + -ing
- Negativo:
- I/He/She/It was not (wasn't) + Verbo + -ing
- We/You/They were not (weren't) + Verbo + -ing
