First Conditional (Acciones Probables)

  • If + S + present simple, st: will o won´t + infinitive (-s/0 / don´t / doesn´t)

Ejemplo: If I study a lot, I will pass my exams.

  • Unless + S + present simple, st: will o won´t + infinitive (Unless = si no + afirmativo)

Ejemplo: Unless you come, I won´t go there.

Second Conditional (Acciones Poco Probables)

  • If + S + past simple, st: would o wouldn´t + infinitive (ed / 2ª col / didn´t / were para todas las personas)

Ejemplos:

  • If I were you, I would tell the truth.
  • If he had more money, he would buy a house.

Third Conditional (Acciones Imposibles / Lamentos)

  • If + S + had + 3ª col, st: would have o wouldn´t have + 3ª col

Ejemplo: If I had gone to the party, I would have seen her.

Passive Voice (Voz Pasiva)

Estructura general: BE + 3ª COL / -ED

  • Mary eats an apple → An apple is eaten by Mary
  • Mary is eating an apple → An apple is being eaten by Mary
  • Mary has eaten an apple → An apple has been eaten by Mary
  • Mary would/will have eaten an apple → An apple will/would have been eaten by Mary
  • Mary will eat an apple → An apple will be eaten by Mary
  • Mary would eat an apple → An apple would be eaten by Mary
  • Mary ate an apple → An apple was eaten by Mary
  • Mary was eating an apple → An apple was being eaten by Mary
  • Mary had eaten an apple → An apple had been eaten by Mary
  • Mary should have eaten an apple → An apple should have been eaten by Mary
  • Mary is going to eat an apple → An apple is going to be eaten by Mary
  • Mary should eat an apple → An apple should be eaten by Mary

Pasiva Impersonal (Impersonal Passive)

  • Presente simple:
    • People say (that) Sara has a new car
    • It is said that Sara has a new car
    • Sara is said to have a new car
  • Futuro:
    • They thought (that) Sara will have a new car
    • It was said that Sara will have a new car
    • Sara was said to have a new car
  • Past simple:
    • Someone considers (that) Sara had a new car
    • It is considered that Sara had a new car
    • Sara is considered to have had a new car

Causative Sentences (Oraciones Causativas)

Estructura: S + HAVE + SOMETHING + DONE + C

  • have/has + my hair + cut
  • had + the house + rebuilt
  • is/are/am having + your nails + painted
