Dictado: Una Aventura en la Playa
The book I'm reading now is about three children who are playing on the beach. The sun is shining, so it's very hot. There are no clouds in the sky, and the sea is calm. So they go swimming, and they are having a good time.
Then they feel hungry, so they open their bags and take out some food. They eat ham and cheese sandwiches, and drink some water. Then they have a rest, lying on the towels for some time. It's getting a bit cold, so they decide to go back home. They pack up their things and walk to the bus stop. They wait for fifteen minutes, and the bus comes at last. They get in and pay the fares.
But some time later, the passengers notice that the road is blocked because of a car crash. There are some people injured, and some ambulances and police around. After some time, the road is cleared, and the driver can continue the ride to town.
Then it starts raining, so the bus has to slow down because it's dangerous to drive fast on a wet road. Eventually, they get to their bus stop. They get off and start walking down the street, but they get drenched all over because of the rain. Anyway, they don't mind, and they laugh and run at the same time. When they get home, they feel happy and tired. The mother opens the door, and she is worried when she sees her kids in such a state, with their clothes dripping water all over. She tells them to have a shower at once. They do that, one by one, and then they sit, with dry clothes, in the living room and watch a film while their mother cooks dinner.
Then their father comes home, and the children tell him about their adventures in the afternoon. When they finish, Dad asks them not to forget their homework for tomorrow, so they go back to their rooms and start working on some exercises. When they don't understand something, they ask their parents for some help. The father speaks English, and the mother is an engineer, so they are very useful when it comes to answering questions about language, mathematics, and physics. What about history and geography? They also know a lot about that, because they read a lot, so they help their children until the clock strikes eleven. That's the time to go to bed.
They go to the bathroom, brush their teeth, kiss their parents good night, and go to their bedrooms. They sleep soundly, with nice dreams. They leave the windows open, because the weather changed again, and it's rather warm now. When they get up in the morning, they have a shower before breakfast. They eat in the kitchen, all together, while they talk about what the radio is saying: there's a political crisis in the country. After that, the father drives them to school. It's a bit early, and the gates are still closed, so they wait for some minutes until the janitor opens them. In the meantime, other students arrive, and they start chatting and joking.
The day ahead of them looks full of things to live at top speed. Life is a wonderful experience, they think.
