Quan la Terri es va mudar, vaig sentir que el meu món havia arribat a la seva fi. Havíem sigut millors amigues des que érem petites, i no em podia imaginar la vida sense ella. Ho vam fer tot juntes i ningú m'entenia com ella.

Al principi, vam estar en contacte tot el temps. La vaig mantenir al dia de tot el que estava passant, i ella em va explicar tot sobre la seva nova vida. Al principi, semblava perduda i sola, però després d'un temps va començar a esmentar nous amics.

Tan bon punt va arribar l'estiu, la Terri va escriure que venia de visita. No podia esperar per tornar-la a veure. Quan va arribar, ens vam quedar despertes i vam parlar tota la nit, o almenys ho vam intentar. D'alguna manera, no teníem tantes coses a dir com en el passat. Es va sentir estrany i incòmode.

Durant la visita de la Terri, em vaig adonar que ens havíem separat. Ella tenia un nou grup d'amics que jo no coneixia, i jo havia començat a prendre classes de guitarra i m'estava endinsant de veritat en la música. Quan ens vam acomiadar, vaig saber que la nostra amistat mai més seria la mateixa. Va ser trist, però no la culpo per això. Potser hauria estat diferent si no hagués marxat, però això no ho podíem canviar. Totes dues havíem avançat.

Moving On: The Evolution of a Friendship

When Terri moved away, I felt that my world had come to an end. We had been best friends since we were little, and I couldn't imagine life without her. We did everything together and no one understood me the way she did.

At first, we kept in touch all the time. I kept her up to date about everything that was going on, and she told me all about her new life. In the beginning, she seemed lost and lonely, but after a while she began mentioning new friends.

As soon as summer came, Terri wrote that she was coming to visit. I couldn't wait to see her again. When she arrived, we stayed up and talked all night, or at least we tried to. Somehow, we didn't have as much to say as we had in the past. It felt strange and uncomfortable.

During Terri's visit, I realised that we had grown apart. She had a new crowd of friends that I didn't know, and I had started taking guitar lessons and was really getting into music. When we said goodbye, I knew that our friendship would never be the same. It was sad, but I don't blame her for it. Maybe it would have been different if she hadn't left, but we couldn't change that. We had both moved on.

Tancats al Laboratori: Una Aventura Inesperada

Divendres passat, el meu germà bessó Alan i jo volíem completar un gran projecte científic. Vam obtenir permís per treballar al laboratori després de l'escola fins a les sis d'aquell vespre. Va trigar una estona, però finalment vam acabar el nostre experiment.

Després d'haver imprès el nostre informe de laboratori, vam endreçar el laboratori. Estàvem a punt de marxar quan de sobte vam tenir una sorpresa desagradable. No vam poder obrir la porta! Estàvem tancats! No havíem prestat atenció al temps mentre estàvem treballant, i ja eren les set en punt.

Primer vam intentar cridar, però ningú ens va respondre. Després vam trucar a l'oficina de l'escola, però estava tancada. Aleshores, vam trucar la nostra mare i li vam explicar la situació. De seguida va tornar a trucar per dir-nos que algú vindria i que esperéssim pacientment. Vam esperar més d'una hora. Finalment, la porta es va obrir i allà hi havia els nostres pares i el director!

Per sort, tots semblaven pensar que la situació era divertida. L'Alan i jo estàvem avergonyits, però contents de ser per fi fora del laboratori.

Locked in the Lab: An Unexpected Adventure

Last Friday, my twin brother Alan and I wanted to complete a big science project. We got permission to work in the lab after school until six o'clock that evening. It took a while, but we finally completed our experiment.

After we had printed our lab report, we tidied up the lab. We were ready to leave when we suddenly got an unpleasant surprise. We couldn't open the door! We were locked in! We hadn't paid any attention to the time while we were working, and it was already seven o'clock.

First we tried shouting, but nobody answered us. Next we called the school office, but it was closed. Then, we rang our mum and explained the situation. She soon rang back to tell us someone was coming and to wait patiently. We waited for more than an hour. Finally, the door opened and standing there were our parents and the headteacher!

Luckily, they all seemed to think the situation was amusing. Alan and I were embarrassed, but happy to be out of the lab at last.
