Past Simple: Formación y Uso del Pasado Simple Regular

El Past Simple (Pasado Simple) se forma a partir de la forma base del verbo añadiendo la terminación -ed.

Cuando hablamos de la forma base, hacemos referencia al infinitivo sin la preposición 'to'. Es decir, del verbo 'to watch', la forma base sería 'watch', y su forma de pasado sería 'watched'.

Estructura de la Oración Afirmativa

Para formar la afirmativa, utilizamos la forma base del verbo con la terminación -ed.

Fórmula:

Sujeto + Verbo con -ed + Resto de la frase

Ejemplo: Ellas hablaron ayer. // They talked yesterday.

Debemos tener en cuenta que la tercera persona del singular (he, she, it) no cambia, por lo que utilizaremos la misma forma con todos los pronombres personales.

Presente Perfecto

El **presente perfecto** se utiliza cuando nos referimos a una acción que ha sido finalizada en el pasado por completo. Justamente el “perfect” no indica literalmente que fue ejecutada a la perfección, sino que más bien fue terminada o acabada.
