Past Simple

• Afirmatiu: I played
• Interrogatiu: Did you play?

Usos:

• Accions que van acabar en el passat.

Los Verbos Modales

• Can: capacidad, solicitud, sugerencia.

Los Verbos Modales Perfectos

Tipos de Perífrasis Verbales

1. Perífrasis Modales

Informan sobre la actitud del hablante ante la acción. El hablante siente la acción como una obligación, una posibilidad, etc.

De obligación:

• Tener que + infinitivo
• Deber + infinitivo
• Haber de / que + infinitivo

De posibilidad o duda:

• Deber de + infinitivo
• Venir a + infinitivo
• Poder + infinitivo

De frecuencia:

• Soler + infinitivo

2. Perífrasis Aspectuales

Indican el modo en que es vista la acción por el hablante; a esto lo llamamos aspecto. Informan sobre el desarrollo de la acción.

Ingresivas: acción a punto de empezar.

• Ir a + infinitivo
• Estar a punto de + infinitivo
• Estar para + infinitivo

Incoativas: acción en el momento de empezar.

• Comenzar a + infinitivo
• Echarse a + infinitivo
• Romper a + infinitivo
• Ponerse

Reflections on Spanish Criminal Sentencing

In Spain, jail is only available for those cases in which criminals commit severe crimes. But do people receive sentences according to their actions?

On one hand, sentences are sometimes just so that criminals don't commit the same crime. Moreover, the Spanish judicial system is different from other countries where punishments are excessive, such as the death penalty.

On the other hand, certain crimes, for example in the case of murder or rape, should have more serious punishment because after 10 or 15 years behind bars, criminals are released and there is a likelihood that this could happen again.

First Impressions

When you enter my little cousins' bedroom, you see quite a large space filled with many lovely items, making it very pleasant to look at. This room receives a lot of natural light, which I really like because it reminds me of the one I had when I was younger.

Según entras en la habitación de mis primos pequeños podemos observar una habitación bastante grande con muchas cosas bonitas y agradables de ver. • Affirmative: Subject + verb (second form)
• Negative: Subject + didn't + base verb
• Interrogative: Did + subject + base verb
