Tiempos Verbales Fundamentales en Inglés

Past Perfect (Pasado Perfecto)

Se utiliza para describir una acción pasada que ocurrió antes de otra acción también pasada.

• Estructura: had + participio pasado del verbo principal
• Ejemplo Afirmativo: The train had already left when we arrived at the station. (El tren ya había marchado cuando llegamos a la estación.)
• Ejemplo Interrogativo: Had he gone when they arrived?

The Future (El Futuro)

1. Future Simple con Will

Estructura: will + infinitivo del verbo principal

Se usa para:

• Expresar predicciones de futuro (ejemplo: el clima).
• Hacer promesas.
• Hacer un ofrecimiento.
• Indicar que acabamos de tomar una decisión en el momento de hablar.

• Ejemplo Negativo: He won't return tonight.
• Ejemplo Interrogativo: Will he

It has become fashionable in the world today to condemn smoking. However, although I feel that smoking can be harmful, I do not think it should be banned completely.

Let me deal first with the positive side of smoking. First, smoking undoubtedly helps many people to relax. For some, it even improves concentration. Many people like to smoke before exams or when they are relaxing with friends.

A further point is that governments throughout the world make huge profits from levying taxes on cigarettes. This provides funds which are used for building schools, hospitals and other public amenities.
